wether it’s who time is spent with, who’s house we visit on Christmas day, where my Dad
happens to be located at the time, how long my holiday break is, etc…
This Christmas we’re [...]

“The greatest events aren’t the loudest, but the most quiet hours.” ~ Unknown
A good quote I recently read. It would make for a great inspirational poster in a classroom…
This is so true though. Some of my favorite moments have been in the quietest hours…
whether I was standing on the top of a mountain over looking [...]

Well, I finally did it. I gave in. I consumed my first Red Bull beverage since I was a sophomore in high school (about 8 yrs ago).
I have always been skeptical of the Red Bull beverage(s)… but it was just screaming

So my co-workers and I officially experienced a scene that could have come straight from The Office tv show. We were having a fairly normal office meeting and just before it was complete, my boss requested we all stand up. Naturally, we sulked and looked around for possible answers from one another. Nothing…just confused looks. [...]

the song is about her life in Nolita (a neighborhood of New York City) and, in her words, “the series of revelations I have had over the past few years.”
New Vanessa Carlton single, “Nolita Fairytale”.
I know, you know, we don’t see
We sow our truth, wait patiently
I walk the streets with a song in my [...]

This article on msnbc.com is an eye opener to the “quality of life vs. standard of living” exemplified by a CEO of a company voluntarily living off of social security. We hold onto so much of this world. Some of us choose to and some of us do it blindly.

If you like Sarah Bareilles, you’ll probably enjoy Missy Higgins. Check her out…
Missy Higgins
Noted songs: “drowning” “where i stood” “falling” “warm whispers“
Such sententious lyrics… “All for Believing“:
Pull back the shield between us, and I’ll kiss you,
Drop your defences and come, into my arms.
I’m all for believing, I’m all for believing.
I’m all for believing [...]

Note to self: Scotch tape does NOT repair tiny holes in the side of a styrofoam cup of coffee.
The invisibility of the tape was present, that’s for sure.
